Monday, October 02, 2006 ::: HAPPY NATIONAL DAY The streets are congested. But nobody's spending, according to the papers. Shop owners aren't thrilled. Aren't we in a real dire situation when even our dear visitors from mainland lose interest in buying? Just for the record I walked into Giordano Concept (one of Giordano's new line of work/formal clothing I suppose) and I was greeted by the saleslady several times. Maybe that wasn't a good sign afterall. Maybe we're going backwards - when local hongers start getting proper treatment again at the shops, something is very wrong. Yea, revive Hong Kong, bring on the GST. Cleverest plan ever. Time for some videos, folks. Remember All Saints? Once upon a time this very cool and hip girl band who made really good songs but then some of them started sleeping with Robbie, having babies, and eventually split? Seeing the huge success 'Take That' received after reforming, split acts regrouping has become the new fashion. And now you've got All Saints, back as a four piece British girl band (the word 'band' is really used too loosely nowadays, don't you think). And their effort is 'quite good'. But it's nothing like the first time you hear Pure Shores, mind you. This sounds alright I suppose. Surprisingly it's not urban at all. It's just pure pop. And it sounds like a Sugbabes track too. Not bad, but not as massive as I anticipated. They've done a video in black and white, and apparently there's some really complicated story behind it, but then I wasn't paying full attention so don't ask me what it is about. Perhaps some of you can explain it to me - and why was there blood pouring out from the eyes was just beyond me. That is one slightly disturbing scene too. All Saints - Rocksteady One Point English Lesson This is hilarious. Mind you it contains adult language and description of sexual behaviors. So, don't let your parents see this.
